Like a bolt from the blue

Last Sunday the weather had a surprise in store! Fall of temperature, snowfall and snowstorm did not favour to gather the complete stadium. It also concerns fan sectors. After the winter break there were near 250 supporters at 28 Metallurg fan sector. At the opposite guests sector there were more supporters and it is necessary to mention that before 330 tickets to this match had been given free of charge to Shakhtar’s fans.

Nevertheless, Metallurg’s fans tried not to be worse than nominal guests and supported as an equal and sometimes even shouted our guests down. One innovation helped our team’s fans to do it – a sound control panel with an acoustic system which helped supporters to react quickly.

Both the weather and Shakhtar’s goal were like a bolt from the blue. If only our team could hold out till the interval and play more successfully in the second half. Our team was not worse than Hirnyky. The only goal took place about Metallurg fans’ ears but nobody blamed Dislenkovic for it. On the contrary the fact that Vladimir had become an Ukrainian citizen was accepted with inspiration from fans’ side.

Metallurg’s supporters demanded from their football players to score a goal in response.  Near ten bold spirits even stripped to the waist and were emotionally involved for the final whistle.  There was a great pressure near Pyatov’s goal but our team did not manage to score. Sometimes chants at fans’ sectors seemed to be sharp.

So the first March meeting against Shakhtar became hard for Metallurg. But the next match against Shakhtar in for Ukrainian Cup which will take place on 24 March is considered from another side by fans. There is a real chance to even the score. And now Metallurg’s fans plan to depart this Saturday to Zaporizhia to the match of the 20th round against the team of the same name. But then we will have the home match against Dynamo and at once – the match of the Cup of Ukraine against Shakhtar. Let’s enjoy, Metallurg!
