The game of double teams of two Donetsk clubs – Metallurg and Shakhtar – ended in a draw but hosts had more chances to win.

The match was uncommonly interesting. Both teams showed not spring play – their showed dynamic football of high quality. Vladimir Pyatenko’s team endeavoured to impose its football on one of the leaders of the championship and managed to do it. In 8th minute Oleynik threw ball over rival’s goalkeeper – 1:0. The guests answered by Fedotov’s blow but the post helped Nepogodov. Two times Oleynik had chances to score from different distances – past the goal. But a quick attack on the right flank was a success. Savin served a ball and Vitaliy Ivanko kicked a goal – 2:0. But in two minutes highly experienced Ruslan Fomin won back one goal.

Hirnyky tried to approach the hosts’goal but they could only fulfill blows from far distance. Metallurg played skilfully and tried to get the most out of every attack.  After each attack the rival answered by the same thing. It seemed that Metallurg would win the match but guests brought the score level. Their second goal resembled the first one in the first half. The pass from the flank and Fedotov scored the goal – 2:2. Metallurg tried to wrest the victory. Oleg Mischenko and Pavel Grischenko had good chances to score but they did not realize them.
